David Montgomery Crashes Aidan Hutchinson’s ‘MNF’ Press Conference

The Detroit Lions’ big win over the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night wasn’t just about the scoreboard, it also delivered one of the funniest postgame moments of the season so far.

After the Lions’ 38-30 victory on Monday, September 22, a reporter asked Lions’ defensive end Aidan Hutchinson about his teammate, running back David Montgomery, who was sitting in the front row.

“David Montgomery, he brought a lot of joy onto the bench today, look at him, he’s loving this,” Hutchinson, 25, said with a laugh.

Gregory Shamus/Getty Images It was a stressful, nausea-inducing night for fans of the Detroit Lions — and one of their players, too.  After the Lions’ dramatic 34-31 victory over the Green Bay Packers in Detroit on Thursday, December 5, head coach Dan Campbell gave a rousing postgame speech in the Ford Field locker room as […]

Hutchinson quickly followed up with even more praise, saying, “David deserves it all, he works his ass off. No one deserves it more than David. I wish he would’ve cribbed that long run, but he’s a baller man. He won us that game today, he’s a big reason why we won.”

As Hutchinson spoke, Montgomery, 28, pulled out his phone to record, mock-wiping tears like he was being honored at an award show. The room cracked up and the clip instantly made the rounds on social media.

Fans wasted no time adding their own commentary. One user on X joked, “His face when he heard the question lmao I love this team so much.” Another chimed in, “That’s the kind of chemistry you can’t coach. Makes every win feel twice as good.”

The performance matched the hype. Montgomery ran for 151 yards and two touchdowns, including a 72-yard breakaway that swung momentum in Detroit’s favor in the third quarter. Hutchinson chipped in with a sack and a forced fumble that helped bury the Ravens’ comeback hopes. Together, the duo made sure Detroit left Baltimore with a statement win.

Lions head coach, Dan Campbell, praised the team’s effort after the win, giving props to the way Hutchinson and the defensive line bottled up the Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Detroit Lions Running Back David Montgomery Ate a Carrot Instead of Turkey After Thanksgiving Game

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery had a good reason for hilariously picking up a carrot instead of a turkey leg after the Lions’ Thanksgiving Day victory.  Montgomery, 27, was spotted by CBS cameras gnawing on a celebratory carrot instead of the customary turkey after the Lions’ 23-20 win over the Chicago Bears on Thursday, […]

“Those guys were very disciplined,” Campbell, 49, told reporters. “They played off each other. They casted the net; they closed the net. Man, they all bottled him up. They were disciplined. And guys made huge plays. He had nowhere to go, and that’s the key.”

Montgomery returned the favor postgame, hyping up his offensive line.

“It starts up front,” Montgomery said. “Those guys don’t get enough credit … We’ve got the best group up front in the league.”

The Lions return to action Sunday, September 28, when they host the Cleveland Browns. Meanwhile, the Ravens travel to Kansas City on Sunday for a showdown with the Chiefs.
